Dr. Patrick Zito is a quadruple board certified, triple fellowship-trained Dermatologist, Mohs Micrographic & Reconstructive Surgeon, Cosmetic Surgeon, and Registered Pharmacist.

He serves as a voluntary Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine Dr. Philip Frost Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery, Clinical Associate Professor at Orlando COM and Rowan University, and serves as a member of the Forbes Health Advisory Board (Forbes.com).
Dr. Zito has unique qualifications and experience. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with Highest Honors with two doctorate degrees (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, D.O. from Rowan University, & Doctor of Pharmacy, Pharm.D. from Rutgers University), earned a bachelors in biology on scholarship from the University of Virginia, attended Harvard University for his post-bachelorette studies of biochemistry, trained in three residencies, and completed three fellowships.
Dr. Patrick Zito initially trained in an accredited Otolaryngology (ENT) & Facial Plastic Surgery residency at RWJBarnabas Rutgers University, then subsequently trained in an accredited Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery residency serving as Chief Resident and was awarded Florida’s Dermatology Resident of the Year.
Dr. Patrick Zito completed an ACGME/American College of Mohs Surgery accredited fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery & Dermatologic Oncology in Miami Beach, FL with Dr. Daniel Rivlin where he performed specialized Mohs Surgery for Melanoma utilizing MART-1 stains.  Additionally, he completed an American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) accredited fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery & Lasers under the tutelage of Dr. Daniel Rivlin and Dr. Shino Bay Aguilera.Â
Dr. Patrick Zito completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Miami, Dr. Phillip Frost Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery during which he began teaching Dermatopharmacology within the department.  Dr. Zito’s comprehensive pharmacy training was consummated by completing an ASHP-accredited Clinical Pharmacy residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center specializing in Critical Care Pharmacotherapy and Infectious Diseases.
Due to his extensive professional training and dedication to optimal patient outcomes, he continuously implements his surgery skillset and experience to help obtain the most optimal post-Mohs surgery reconstruction results as a Dermatologist. Dr. Zito’s philosophical approach to practice is to get optimal physical results and provide each patient with all the necessary preoperative and postoperative counseling and care to ensure the best overall experience.
