Marilyn Fleites Rumbaut, APRN - Ciocca Dermatology

Is an accomplished Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and International Medical Graduate with an impressive career spanning over 28 years in the healthcare industry. Her journey began in 1995 when she obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from the esteemed Universidad De Ciencias Medicas, Cienfuegos, Cuba. Subsequently, she pursued her passion for specialized medicine, completing her Specialty in General Integral Medicine in 1999, and becoming a Certified Specialist in Dermatology in 2007. Her thirst for knowledge led her to earn a Master of Science in Medical Genetics in 2015, all of which were attained in Havana, Cuba. 

 In 2016, Marilyn embarked on her professional journey in the United States, starting as an esthetician at medical offices in Miami, FL. Driven by her dedication to advancing patient care and contributing to medical research, she joined Ciocca Dermatology in 2019, where she assumed the role of Esthetician and Clinical Research Coordinator for Skin Research of South Florida, under the guidance of Dr. Giovanna Ciocca, the esteemed Medical Director. Throughout her tenure, Marilyn has actively participated in cutting-edge clinical trials, enabling her to play a crucial role in pioneering advancements in dermatological treatments for patients of all ages.  

Not one to rest on her laurels, Marilyn continued to expand her professional horizons while at Ciocca Dermatology. She became a Registered Nurse and then went on to successfully complete her Master of Science in Nursing, enhancing her skills and expertise in the medical field.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Marilyn is adept at delivering comprehensive care to diverse patient populations, ensuring that language barriers do not hinder the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Marilyn values the importance of work-life balance and cherishes quality time with her family and friends. She enjoys exploring new destinations through travel and appreciates the enriching experiences these journeys bring.
