Dr. Giovanna Ciocca is board certified in both dermatology and pediatrics. After completing her pediatric dermatology fellowship at Miami Children’s Hospital she joined the pediatric dermatology practice there where she had practiced for almost 5 years before moving to private practice. Her special interests include vascular birthmarks, acne, and laser treatment for various children’s skin conditions.,

She enjoys teaching and serves as clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Florida International University, training several pediatric and dermatology residents.

She has been a key speaker at both national and international conferences, as well as pediatric board review courses. In addition, she is a speaker and consultant for several major pharmaceutical companies.

Since the beginning of her training,

She has participated in multiple phase one to phase three trials and is currently focused on special trials involving new breakthrough treatments for children’s skin conditions. She has written and edited several articles in both general and pediatric dermatology journals, as well as co-authored a chapter of a pediatric dermatology book.

She is an active member in several pediatric and dermatology societies including:

• The Pediatric Dermatology Society
• American Academy of Pediatrics (dermatology section)
• American Association of Physician Specialists (dermatology board member)
• Women’s Dermatology Society

She finds her career very rewarding and looks forward to building a lasting relationship with her patients and families.

During her free time she loves spending time with her family, traveling and reading.
